GWENT Police are appealing for information after a robbery took place at Betfred on Osborne Road, Pontypool, which left a member of staff with a minor head injury.

At around 9.20pm on Sunday November 8, two men entered the branch through the front and side doors and demanded that an employee open the safe.

The pair left without any money but took the mobile phone of a member of staff during the robbery.

A female member of staff received a minor head injury during the incident.

The police have released the following description of the two individuals involved in the robbery.

The first man is described as of medium build and wearing a white mask that covered the lower part of the face and a dark coloured circle around the mouth area.

He was also wearing a green padded coat with zip up the front and fur lined hood and grey coloured gloves, dark coloured tracksuit bottoms with a thin white stripe down the outside of each leg and a white circle emblem on the front of the upper left leg.

The second man is described as of medium build and wearing a dark coloured mask or scarf covering the lower part of his face and black gloves.

He was also wearing a black coloured coat, with dark/black coloured clothing on underneath and black coloured tracksuit bottoms and dark coloured footwear with white laces.

The police are investigating the whereabouts of the two individuals involved but anyone with information should call 101 quoting log: 484 08/11/15.
