UPDATE:10.49am
Gwent Police said they were called at 8.26am. The crash involved
a silver Nissan Micra and a red Chevrolet Kalos.
Both female drivers were checked over at scene by paramedics but no further medical treatment was required.
The child passenger also travelling in the Kalos was not injured.
The driver of Micra has to report for summons for driving without due care and attention.
UPDATE 10.18am
A spokeswoman for Henllys Primary School said no one from the school was involved in the crash and that all the children arrived at the school as usual.
UPDATE: 10.10am
One of the cars involved in this morning's crash has been recovered and the other remains on the scene.
The ambulance was called as a precaution.
UPDATE: 9.35am
EMERGENCY services were called to a crash near Henllys Primary School this morning reportedly involving two cars.
An eye-witness says police, fire and ambulance were at the scene at around 8.50am this morning.
