THE incident involved two cars on the northbound side of the A4042, close to the Gwent Police headquarters.
Fire crews from the Cwmbran and Malpas stations attended

A woman was helped out of a vehicle by paramedics after a two-car crash near the police headquarters, a fire service spokeswoman said.
She added that fire service crews then made the vehicle safe.

ONE person was taken to hospital after a two-car crash on the A4042 in Ponthir earlier tonight.
Emergency services were called to the scene at the Crown roundabout, near Burton's Biscuits, at 5.55pm.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said that one person was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital.
