Thousands without electricity in Cwmbran after power cut
THOUSANDS of people in Cwmbran are currently without electricity after a fault in a sub-station.
A Western Power Distribution (WPD) spokeswoman said 9,000 customers had been affected after the fault at 1.03pm but 5,000 of those have since been reconnected.
She said WPD hopes to have restored power to the other 4,000 customers by 2.30pm after the problem at the Llantarnam sub-station.
“We would like to apologise to our customers for any inconvenience,” she added.
