TRIBUTES have been paid to a Pontypool woman who died after a crash in Blaenavon on Saturday.
Fifty-year-old Ray Jones from the Pontypool area was travelling as a passenger on a black Kawasaki motorbike when it was involved in a collision with a red Volvo C70 on the B4246/Abergavenny Road.
Mrs Jones died at the scene.
Her family said in a statement: "Ray was the rock of her family, always full of life, love and happiness.
"She was loved by all as a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma and friend. The family have asked to be allowed to grieve together in peace."
The male rider of the motorbike was taken to Nevill Hall Hospital for treatment for minor injuries and has since been released.
The driver of the Volvo, a 46-year-old man from Blaenavon, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call 101 quoting log 503 17/09/16.
