GWENT Police have launched an appeal for information after a burglary in Cwmbran earlier today, which involved a gang of five disguised individuals.
All the individuals wore balaclavas, caps and scarves to hide their faces as a jewellery box and a safe were stolen during the burglary
The police have confirmed that no-one was hurt during the incident, which occurred at just before 1.50pm on Avondale Road.
After the burglary, the gang were seen driving off in the direction of Morrisons supermarket in Cwmbran, in a white Vauxhall estate and officers understand it was either a Signum or Vectra model.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the burglary and to anyone who may have seen the white Vauxhall estate car with the five occupants in the area of Avondale Road and Cwmbran town centre.
Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101, quoting log reference 249 22/06/17.
