RSPCA Cymru inspectors and Gwent Police were called to a Monmouthshire village yesterday after concerns about dog welfare.
A Gwent Police spokeswoman said officers received reports of “dogs running on the road near Little Mill” in the Pontypool area at around 10.44am.
A RSPCA Cymru spokesman said: “RSPCA Cymru officers attended a property in the Little Mill area on Wednesday in relation to concerns about dog welfare.
“We attended this incident with Gwent Police.
“This is an on-going investigation, which the RSPCA continues to work on."
