AN ARREST has been made in connection with an alleged assault which left a man fearing for the loss of his eye.
Gwent police said a 20-year-old man was arrested and has been released under investigation.
Kieran Shone, 22, from Cwmbran, was left with a fractured eye socket, and nose after the reported assault at The Greyhound pub in High Street, Newport, at around 1.20am on June 10.
He has had to have multiple operations to treat his right eye.
A spokeswoman for Gwent police said: "A 20-year-old man was arrested and has been released under investigation."
