NOMINATIONS are coming in for our annual awards that recognise the amazing work done in education.
The South Wales Argus Schools and Education Awards 2018, in partnership with the University of South Wales (USW), aim to honour the tremendous work being done in the education sector – and we have already had worthy candidates from across the region entered.
Last year's Coed Eva Primary School won the Primary School of the Year Award and took the overall award of School of the Year Award.
Head teacher Gill Ellis said: “It was amazing to have won, but it’s been a team effort. I feel really privileged to be head teacher of the school.
"The award is the highlight of the year, and 20 of our staff of are here to celebrate.”
Roy Noble, one of Wales’ most popular broadcasters, will host the awards event which will take place on March 8 at Chepstow Racecourse.
