ABERSYCHAN Comprehensive School performed a pantomime version of The Wizard of Oz at the Blaenavon Workmen’s Hall.
The show, on December 17, was watched by primary school pupils from the area during the day and was sold out for the evening performance. Dorothy was performed by Katie Hale and her sidekick Toto was played by Thomas Mulcock. This version had another lead called Billy Buttons, who was played by Lewis Hancock. The Wicked Witch was played by Gabrielle Grimas, opposite Glinda, played by Georgia Young.
The Lion was played by Chloe McCarthy. Casey Baldwin played Tin Man and Aimee Mayo the Scarecrow. The Dame was played by Rachell Hicks and the trio Hewie, Dewie and Dave by Alivia Yemm, Callum Smith and Ellie Whittaker. There was even a Danny Zuko, played by Alistair Henderson.
