PLANS to build 18 properties in Henllys got the go ahead at Torfaen planning committee.
This application, which got approval on April 15, will see the erection of six two-bedroom terraced houses, nine two-bedroom flats and three one-bedroom flats on Henllys Village Road, Henllys.
Full planning permission was granted in November 2008 for proposed residential development consisting of 17 flats, a shop and community hall and associated parking.
This permission was subject to a section 106 agreement requiring the developer to build a Community Hall for the Henllys Village Hall Committee.
This community hall, a shop and parking have been built and occupied.
However, due to the housing slump, the residential element was never completed, but the permission for the 17 flats remained.
The applicants, Pendragon, submitted a revised application for 18 properties.
