A CWMBRAN model and actress will compete in the 'Beauty of the UK' pageant but needs public support to gain the title.

Ceri Law, 30, is representing Gwent in the competition and hopes to be crowned the Beauty of Wales, which would allow her to enter the UK final.

The Coed Eva resident said that she is “very excited to be involved” in the competition and is currently looking for sponsors so that she can progress to the finals.

The Beauty of the UK pageant supports the Rays of Sunshine charity, which helps terminally ill children, aged 3 to18, and Miss Law must fundraise for them as part of the competition.

She hopes to fundraise £250 in the run-up to the final rounds of the pageant, with all proceeds going to the charity.

To support Miss Law in the competition, send a text to 70070 with the message MSFW55£ followed by the amount of money you would like to donate.

The final of the ‘Beauty of the UK’ pageant will be held in the Park Hotel in Preston, Lancaster on October 19.
