UPDATE: 4.37pm

A spokeswoman for South Wales Fire and Rescue said the crash was on Rede Road in Fairwater area and involved two vehicles.

One vehicle, carrying two people, collided with railings. They received first aid and oxygen. An ambulance was called and one person freed themself. The call was received at 2.13pm.

UPDATE: 4.00pm

FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a crash in the Fairwater area of Cwmbran this afternoon.

Fire crews from Cwmbran, Maindee and Ebbw Vale are at the scene.
