A CASUALTY was taken to hospital after being cut from a car in Pontypool this morning.
A fire crew from New Inn and two crews from Malpas attended the scene of the collision on Usk Road at 3.29am and used hydraulic cutting equipment to release the casualty.
One person was then conveyed to hospital by ambulance.
Fire crews left the scene at 4.25 am.
