TRAVELLERS have moved into a site in Christchurch, a Newport City Council spokesman has confirmed.
Council officers have visited the site and they have indicated that they will be moving on in the next couple of days.
The council will monitor the situation.
Travellers are also reported to have moved into a car park in Old Cwmbran.
They are currently based in a car park off Victoria Street by the doctors surgery and behind Our Lady of the Angels Primary school.
