RSPCA Cymru is appealing for the owner of a one-eyed pony found in Torfaen to come forward.
A member of the public contacted the RSPCA after the little Shetland type pony was found off the main road in Varteg.
RSPCA animal welfare officer Sian Burton said: “This pony is in a good condition so we think he is owned by someone.
“He has his right eye missing - which is most probably an old injury - although it is weeping a bit.
“I think someone has lost him - and he belongs to someone.”
The pony has been moved to a stables nearby for safe keeping until his owner is found.
Anyone who may have information about this pony should contact the RSPCA inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018.
