A 14-YEAR-OLD autistic boy beat competition from around 500 young performers to win a talent show yesterday.
Cwmbran teen Lewis Michael “blew the stage away” performing In Summer from the Frozen animated blockbuster at Blaenavon Workmen’s Hall.
The Crownbridge special school pupil was taking part in the Torfaen summer playscheme talent show on Wednesday after attending a project at Cwmbran Stadium.
Tegan Jones, of the Thornhill playscheme, took second place with her rendition of Shake It Off by Taylor Swift.
Meanwhile, the rock – street dance outfit called the Dynamic Dancers from the Neon Playscheme in Blaenavon came third.
Torfaen play service manager Julian Davenne said: “Lewis blew the stage away.
“The show was extremely good.”
Torfaen council is running about 30 summer playschemes attended by around 1,400 young people each day.
