POLICE have made another arrest after £20,000 worth of biscuits were stolen from Burton's in Cwmbran.
The 36-year-old man from the Liverpool area has been arrested on suspicion of theft and conspiracy to steal and is the third person to be held over the incident. He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
A 27-year-old man from the Cheshire area is on police bail having been arrested on suspicion of theft and conspiracy to steal, and a 35-year-old man from the Liverpool area is on police bail having been arrested on suspicion of theft.
The trailer containing the biscuits was stolen at around 3.10am on 17th June. The empty trailer was then found in the Warrington area later the same day, and since then further vehicles involved in the theft have been found and seized by police.
Enquiries are continuing. Anyone with information on this is asked to call 101 quoting log 348 17/06/15.
