A COMMUNITY group who nearly had their party plans cancelled were able to celebrate after receiving a financial donation from a Welsh company.

The St Dials Community Action Group, based in Cwmbran, was given the money by Affresol Limited, a company who provided a storage unit to safely store their equipment.

Tracey James, Bron Afon’s community manager for St Dials - who also help to support the group - said: “The group has gone from strength to strength since we helped set it up in 2014.

“It’s great to see organisations supporting our communities.

"Residents now organise their own events and work hard to make St Dials a better place to live," she added.

The party was held on Monday, December 12 and the residents, in keeping with the time of the year, decided to hold a Christmas-themed party.

Tim Cowell, marketing manager for Affresol Limited, said: “As part of our company ethos we work in close partnership with our customers and endeavour to support the communities they serve.

“We are pleased to support St Dials Community Action Group and hope the residents have a great Christmas.”
