Woman taken to hospital after two-car crash
A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a crash in the Cwmbran area.
Fire crews from New Inn and Cwmbran were called at 1.15pm to Avondale Road following a crash between two vehicles.
One woman was trapped and crews used hydraulic equipment to cut her from the vehicle.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said crews were called at around 12pm to the crash.
He said: “We sent a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and a crew in an emergency ambulance to the scene and a young woman was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital.”
