A NEW music video by an up-and-coming rapper from Cwmbran has become an internet hit with more than 13,000 views in three days.

Shane Ford, also known as Pridez, says the response to his new track Believe in Love has exceeded all expectations since its launch on Saturday, March 11.

The YouTube video starring models Esam Elgizi and Sharon Grobben has had 13,600 views and 161 likes.

Mr Ford, 29, of Fairwater, said: "The feedback has been amazing.

"A lot of people have said they can relate to the lyrics and understand the message.

"When I wrote it I knew there was something special about it but the response has exceeded expectations."

The video was filmed at La Bamba Mexican restaurant in Newport for a nightclub scene featuring Infinity Dance Crew, as well as in the city’s streets and at a garage.

Mr Ford has previously written music influenced by his time being homeless and is hoping his latest release can offer hope to people who may be going through difficult times.

The rapper, who also works as a shop fitter and cites Snoop Dog and Eminem as some of his biggest influencers, is already working on his next track called Wake Up Call.
