A NISSAN dealership has been named as one of the best in south Wales and the south west for the outstanding customer care they provide to disabled drivers — for the seventh time in three years.

Newtown Motors, of Cwmbran, won a regional quarterly award for its work with the Motability Car Scheme and is part of a programme of awards, launched last year by Motability Operations.

It aims to recognise and reward outstanding customer service provided by local Motability dealerships.

The awards are judged on how a dealer delivers the scheme to customers, via customer feedback and reviews of their performance.

By winning an award for the third quarter of 2017, Newtown Motors has been automatically entered into the national, annual awards which will be announced soon.

Peter Wilson, the general manager of Dealer Relations at Motability Operations, said: “The focus of these awards is to thank our dealer partners for providing a consistently positive customer service experience; after all, they are often the first point of contact for our customers.
