FORGESIDE Under 7s and Under 8s hosted Pontypool Utd on Sunday and lost both games.

Forgeside were missing several key players which did not help their cause, however credit to Unitd who played very well.

In the first game, the Under 7s lost by 12 tries to seven and in the second game of the morning the Under 8s lost nine tries to four.

For Forgeside Demi Jenkins had her best game for the club scoring two tries and grabbing one tag, Will Marshall grabbed one tag, Shay Farthing scored one try and grabbed three tags, Logan Redman grabbed one tag and Cian Pearce was outstanding in both attack and defence grabbing nine tags and scoring two good tries which earned him the player of the match award.

Alfie McCann and Bailey McCloy who was making his debut supported well. Kai Teale grabbed two tags and scored two tries, Callum Kenvin grabbed three tags and also scored two tries and in the process earned the most improved player award for the day.

Edward Winterfield grabbed seven tags, Riley Coslett grabbed three tags, Ben Skyrme grabbed one tag and Lewi Edwards supported well.

Next week the young Black and Ambers will be looking to get back to winning ways when they travel to play RTB Ebbw Vale.
