SENGHENYDD U13S 7 TALYWAIN U13S 31

AN UNFORTUNATE injury to a Senghenydd player brought this game to an early end when Talywain were in a commanding lead.

The player injured his neck during a tackle and the game was rightly concluded.

Early on Tyler Lewis won possession for Talywain after a tackle and Euan Lewis picked up to score.

Superb counter rucking by Jack Davies and Ben Sullivan then allowed Sullivan to use his pace to score.

Lewis then won the ball and fed outstanding centre Duan Thomas, who superbly drew two defenders and put Joel Witcombe in at the corner for a 17-0 half time lead.

Zach Morgan caught his opposite number for the umpteenth time and hacked the ball on for Lewis to pick up. Blind side Sullivan was in support to round matters off.

Debutant Charlie Howliston took several strikes against the head and Ieuan Cooper was in fine form.

Sullivan rounded off his hat-trick for Talywain with a typical burst of speed before the game came to an end.

Conversions were kicked by Tyler (2) and Witcombe.
