ABERGAVENNY B 33 BLACKWOOD B 20 ABERGAVENNY B won their first match of the season on Saturday.
The match got off to a tight start with only one goal separating the teams after the first quarter.
However, Aber got into the flow of the game and a strong defence, with tight marking, made it difficult for Blackwood to get the ball into their shooting circle and Aber led 15 – 9 at half time.
Spurred on by this lead, Abergavenny continued to press.
They displayed fast, accurate passing in centre court and there was excellent positioning and shooting from Hannah Morgan and Rebecca Pritchard in the shooting circle.
In the third quarter Aber scored ten goals while Blackwood managed only four.
