THE final score did not reflect Forgeside’s share of this game. Hollybush scored one converted try in the first half while, for Forgeside, centre Ieuan Pearce kicked two penalties and kicked well out of hand in defence and attack.

Captain Fraser White and Andrew Trumper took good possession in the lineouts for scrum half Lee Redman to get quick ball to outside half Dan Fieldhouse.

The home team also took enough possession from the scrums. In the second half the visitors scored straight from the restart and after ten minutes the referee issued a red card to the home team’s Rhys Berryman.

Wing Peter Walker was injured and replacements Nick Bath, Rhys Jervis and Leyton Williams came on.

Forgeside had most of the territory and possession in the second half.

Wing Ioan Williams was below his best due to an injury but runs by Pearce, Neil Williams and Glenn Harvey kept the pressure on the visitors. In the last quarter of an hour Hollybush scored a breakaway try and Forgeside could not close the gap.
