USK Valley Trampoline Club were celebrating when they picked up trophies and medals galore at the Welsh Trampoline Grades Competition, held at Pontypool Active Living Centre on April 21.

The club gained eleven first places, with four seconds and four thirds, plus five Gold, one Silver and one Bronze Team medals.

The individual champions were – Amy Shutt (Under11 I), Ffion Snook (U11 H), Menna Inight (U13 I), Chloe James (U13 H),MayaCadman (U15 I), Bethan Duckett (U15 H), Katie Lloyd (U17 H), Leigha Dance (U17 I) and Georgeanna Perry (U13) The winners of the synchronised trampoline event were Jade Rees and Maezy Walmsley (U13/U15 F) Other individual trophy winners were Elli McKim – 2nd (U13 I), Caroline Coakley- Aston – 2nd (U15 H), Chloe Wilkes – 2nd (U17 H), Lois Gould – 2nd (U13 G), Harriet Norman – 3rd (U13 I) and Ellie James – 3rd (U11 I).

Also third in the synchronised event (13/15 G) were Lois Gould and Emily Criddle.

Qualifiers at the event were Lois Gould and Isobel Knight.

There were many notable runners up – Hannah Josty, Georgia White, Bethan Evans and Isobel Knight.

The winning teams (who took the Gold medal ) were: The U17H Girls – Katie Lloyd, Chloe Wilkes and Shannon Llewellyn. Also the U17 I Girls – Leigha Dance, Hannah Josty and Cerys Walsh. The U15 H Girls – Chloe James, Caroline Coakley-Aston and Bethan Duckett. The 1st Team U15 I Girls – Menna Inight, Elli McKim, Harriet Norman and Milly Naish.

The 2nd Team of U15 I Girls took Silver – Mikaela Price, Maya Cadman, Georgia White and Kara Young.

And the Bronze team U15 Team 2 were Bethan Evans, Zoe Watkins and Rebecca Skinner. Senior club coach Barbara Digby-North said that it had been an amazing day, with more winners than ever before and that she was really proud of all the girls’ achievements.

Usk Valley Trampoline Club trains locally at Pontypool and Newport and provides opportunities to advance in the sport via competition entry and the British Gymnastics Trampoline Award Scheme. It also welcomes those who just wish to join for fun and fitness and also caters for disabled children.
