WALES international Jack Collison has joined SkyBet Championship club AFC Bournemouth on a one-month emergency loan deal.
The West Ham United midfielder has made five appearances for club and country this season, including last week’s Capital One Cup victory over Cardiff City, when he set up the late winner for Ricardo Vaz Te.
He started for Wales in the August friendly with the Republic of Ireland and the World Cup qualifying defeat in Macedonia last month.
And he made 21 appearances for West Ham last term after a seven-month lay-off with a knee injury.
Collison came through the Hammers’ academy and was named as the club’s young player of the year in his first season as a first team regular before helping the Londoners win promotion from the Championship in 2012.
The 24-year-old, who scored in a pre-season friendly against his new teammates at the Goldsands Stadium this summer, will help ease Bournemouth’s injury problems in midfield.
Manager Eddie Howe is currently without Charlie Daniels, Shaun MacDonald, Harry Arter, winger Matt Ritchie and loan signing Andrew Surman due to injury.
Collison will remain with the Cherries until Monday, October 28.
