FORMER Newport County AFC midfielder Lee Evans and Newport-born Bristol City star Ellis Harrison could both feature for Wales under-21s on Friday.
The pair are in Geraint Williams’ squad for the European under-21 qualifier against Lithuania at Bangor City, kick off 2pm.
But Shrewsbury Town striker Tom Bradshaw has taken the decision to pull out of the squad to make himself available his club’s home game against Gillingham on Saturday.
Town's five-goal top scorer had been called up for the games against Lithuania and San Marino.
It would have meant he missed the clash with Gillingham but, keen to maintain his bright form at club level, Bradshaw has opted to play for Shrewsbury instead and, in this case, put club before country.
Manager Graham Turner said: "What Tom has decided, in order to keep his career on the right track, it's more important for him to be playing in our team, playing League One football, than travelling halfway round Europe and getting 10 minutes or 30 minutes. He recently had a 13 hour trip and didn't play very much football.
"As I see it, right at the moment, Tom has made the decision to make himself unavailable in the view that he wants to be playing club football and keep a regular place in our side rather than miss the odd game and then not getting back in the side.
"That is a decision he's made, he's been put under no sort of pressure, it's something he wants to do, he feels it's right for his career, so that decision has been made."
