Coombs back in the Dragons fold for Bath

WALES lock Andrew Coombs looks set to give Newport Gwent Dragons a boost by returning against Bath in the Amlin Challenge Cup on Saturday, writes Chris Kirwan
The captain missed last weekend's European opener against Mogliano after injuring his ankle against Zebre the previous week.
However, he looks poised to beef up the region's tight five against Bath in the crunch Pool Two clash at the Rec.
The 28-year-old has been named in the region's extended squad for Saturday's game along with fellow locks Robert Sidoli and Matthew Screech.
Former Wales second row Adam Jones will get game time for a Dragons development side against Oxford University tonight – a move that would be risky if Coombs was struggling to be fit.
The Dragons are, however, down to their last two hookers in Hugh Gustafson and Elliot Dee after Sam Parry was ruled out after suffering a concussion against Mogliano.
Openside Nic Cudd is also sidelined after a shoulder injury forced him off in the 50-8 thrashing of the Italian minnows.
That will give Lewis Evans the chance to press his claims for a spot in Wales' autumn internationals squad with a strong showing on the openside.
Dragons squad: D Evans, W Harries, T Prydie, H Amos, A Hughes, R Wardle, A Smith, J Tovey, K Burton, J Evans, R Rees, W Evans, O Evans, P Price, A Coundley, H Gustafson, E Dee, D Way, N Buck, F Chaparro, M Screech, R Sidoli, A Coombs, J Goves, N Talei, L Evans, T Faletau, I Jones.
