Dragons sign flanker Sam Lewis from the Ospreys

Newport Gwent Dragons have signed wing forward Sam Lewis on a two year contract.

The young open side is currently with the Ospreys, having previously played for Swansea, and will join the Dragons from June.

On signing the back rower, director of rugby Lyn Jones said: "I have always been a big fan of Sam, and his brother before him.

"He comes from a good rugby family and has the edge to become a quality international player. Playing regularly will help him achieve his ambitions.

"This is a significant signing for us and just shows our determination to become the best region in Wales.”

Excellent signing but we badly need some props, surely Kingsley must know of some in Russia.

This is typical of the sort of signings we can expect in the near future with Dragons being a respected unit, "fringe" caps and other hopefuls will come for more game time than they would get elsewhere.
The props will come but they will be either older (on way down) or young wanting experience, until we get established as a top half of the table region (about three years IMOH).

I agree. We lost to the Blues yesterday partly due to a lack of scrum stability. The prop problem is the most pressing.
