GLAMORGAN batsman Will Bragg will return to play for Panteg in the South Wales Premier League this year, writes Chris Kirwan.

The 27-year-old left-hander from Cwmbran was allocated to Newport last season and played three games for the Spytty Park outfit.

But on May 3 he will be lining up for Glamorgan and Monmouthshire League champions and Welsh Cup holders Panteg as they start life in the top flight at Mumbles.

Newport have been allocated promising 20-year-old off spinner Andrew Salter, who enjoyed a super end to last season and featured for Glamorgan in the YB40 final defeat to Nottinghamshire at Lord’s.

Unlike past seasons teams have been allocated just one player each because Glamorgan are operating with a smaller squad.

Former Usk paceman Mike Reed will feature for Sully and ex-Panteg seamer John Glover heads west to Ynysygerwn.

Allocations: Bridgend - Ruaidhri Smith, Mumbles – Will Owen, Neath – Jack Murphy, Newport – Andrew Salter, Panteg – Will Bragg, Pontarddulais – David Lloyd, Port Talbot – Chris Cooke, Sully – Mike Reed, Swansea – Stewart Walters, Ynysygerwn – John Glover.
