TYLER Morgan stunned Lions star Taulupe Faletau with his dazzling display against Treviso but the talented Newport Gwent Dragons teen says he has plenty to learn both on and off the field this summer.

The 18-year-old outside centre scored one majestic try and set up another with a super break in a man of the match performance at Rodney Parade on Saturday.

It prompted director of rugby Lyn Jones to state "Tyler is going to go all the way and nailed it today" while Wales number eight Faletau said, "Some of the stuff he does... I was taken aback. He is a great athlete and will only get better and better."

Morgan, who had a late promotion from the bench because fellow one-to-watch Jack Dixon was ill, has been tipped for the top for quite some time.

He has starred for Newport in the Principality Premiership this season and for both Wales Under-18s and 20s, impressing with his pace, skills, vision and strength.

Regional bosses have long believed that they have a future Wales star on their hands and Morgan's performance up against gifted Italy centre Michele Campagnaro will have done little to quash talk of him being the next big thing.

He should be a firm fixture in the Dragons squad next season but first he has a busy summer ahead.

Morgan is heading to the Junior World Championship with Wales Under-20s and the Coleg Gwent student will sit his biology, chemistry and maths A-Level exams while in New Zealand.

Expectations are high and the praise is flowing but there is little danger of the youngster from Caerleon getting carried away.

He said: "I try not to read all this! I enjoy having good things said about me but it will come with negatives as well.

"I've just got to keep developing my game and can learn so much from the players around me and my coaches, so I just have to take all the praise with a pinch of salt.

"It's been a great end to the season for me, playing at Millennium Stadium, Parc y Scarlets and Rodney Parade.

"I loved playing against Campagnaro. It's good to play against players like him because I can learn so much from them, while Pat Leach is an experienced centre and helped me feel comfortable in the team.

"I can't wait for the Junior World Championship; I hope I can prove myself a bit more out in New Zealand and then get a bit more game time next season.

"I think I am best with ball in hand but I know that I need to improve every aspect of my game."
