NEWPORT Gwent Dragons wing Tom Prydie does not feature in the Wales trial on Friday evening because of injury but he could yet tour South Africa.

The 22-year-old suffered a hamstring strain in training last week so will not be risked in the probables versus possibles encounter at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea.

Prydie, who suffered a similar injury while training with Warren Gatland's squad in the autumn internationals, should be fine for next month's tour as it is a grade one strain.

But, with Leigh Halfpenny and Hallam Amos sidelined with shoulder injuries this summer, the five-times capped speedster misses the chance to catch the eye in the scramble to be back-up to George North, Alex Cuthbert and Liam Williams.

The Scarlets' Jordan Williams starts for the probables while Dan Fish, Kristian Phillips and Harry Robinson are the possibles' back three.

Wales play Eastern Province Kings on June 10 before two Tests against the Springboks.
