SOME of Gwent's finest cricketers will be locking horns in Panteg on Sunday for a charity match in memory of Gareth Meredith.
A Panteg XI will take on an Abergavenny XI in a 30-over clash to raise funds for Velindre Cancer Centre.
A number of past and present Glamorgan players will be taking to the field; Will Bragg, Ian Thomas, David Harrison and Adam Harrison will line-up for the hosts and will have Mark Wallace and Mike Powell in their sights.
Meredith, who was known as 'Clampy', died in 2012. He was a Gwent cricket stalwart who played for both clubs as well as Pontnewynydd, Croesyceiliog and Wales Over-50s.
Entry to Sunday's match costs £2 and the match starts at 2pm.
