NEWPORT Gwent Dragons have given a shot at redemption to the players that were booed off the field at Rodney Parade last weekend, writes Chris Kirwan.

The Dragons have made two changes to the side that lost 38-12 to Munster for tomorrow's challenging trip to title-chasing Glasgow in the Guinness Pro12.

Wings Tom Prydie and Matthew Pewtner come in for injury victim Tyler Morgan and Hallam Amos, who must settle for a place on the bench after being in Wales camp all week.

Director of rugby Lyn Jones will be looking for a reaction from his charges after they let a 9-7 half-time lead slip in spectacular fashion against Munster with their meek second-half performance prompting sections of the home crowd to vent their frustration.

"It's been a very challenging and emotional week," said Jones. "It was so heartbreaking to see so much good work from the first half fall away in the second.

"Our error count as individuals on the ball was pretty horrific. It was one mistake, to another, to another, to another.

"If there were two halves of rugby that were awful then we'd have problems but the first half was all-consuming. However, we only scored nine points and when you have such dominance you need at least 19."

It looked as though Jason Tovey – who scored a full house of a try, two conversions, two penalties and a drop goal in last season's surprise 23-8 win at Scotstoun Stadium – would be handed a recall.

However, the management team have opted to stick with Dorian Jones at fly-half, giving him a fourth start on the spin.

Wales lock/back row Andrew Coombs returns on the bench after missing the last two fixtures with niggles while burgeoning openside James Benjamin is also among the replacements.

Sean Lamont, Duncan Weir, Ryan Grant, Fraser Brown, Tim Swinson, Gordon Reid and Henry Pyrgos are all included in Glasgow's 23 after featuring for Scotland this autumn. Influential Fijian pair Niko Matawalu and Leone Nakarawa start, as does Canada wing DTH van der Merwe.

Glasgow haven't lost in the league since last November's upset at Scotstoun and are looking to get their title challenge back on track after a 19-9 loss to the Scarlets in Llanelli.
