TELEVISION presenter Bob Wilson yesterday signed a new deal with ITV Sport and station chiefs announced he would front his own show, featuring Cham-pions League highlights.

Des Lynam's switch to the network earlier this week after 30 years at the BBC prompted speculation Wilson would be sidelined. However, he has now signed a further three-year contract.

Wilson will kick off ITV's live football coverage next Wednesday when he presents Chelsea's Champions League qualifying match against Skonto Riga from Stamford Bridge. Lynam will join him from next month and they will present the show together, a spokeswoman said.

Wilson will also have a new show, Champions League Special, on 16 Tuesday nights during the season from 10pm, carrying highlights and previews of key Wednesday games.
