An indoorwaterfall, a bear pit and some northern soul music played on a church organ. In what is probably the gallery's most ambitious project to date, Dundee Contemporary Arts has opened not only its own white spaces but also a whole load of other doors in the city forOur Surroundings, a series of seven artist projects that respond to modern Dundee.

American artist MarkDion has created a new pavilion for visitors to the bear enclosure at Camperdown Wildlife Park.

Matt Stokes has immersed himself in the Dundee music scene, staging a northern soul night in the beautiful surroundings of St Salvado's Church in Hilltown and arranging organ recitals of soul, house and heavy metal favourites.

Jordan Baseman has been following events at Dundee's satellite receiving station.

The highlight, though, has to be a newwork by Olafur Eliasson, whose Weather Project - an indoor glowing orange sun at Tate Modern - became Britain's most visited contemporary art event.

ForDundee, he will create an indoorwater feature, proving that while Scotland may be damp, Dundee is adventurous rather than dreich.
