SNP LEADER Alex Salmond yesterday gave his support to the SNP
activists who occupied the headquarters of Anglian Water last Friday in
protest at Anglian's interest in Scottish water. Mr Salmond said he was
surpised that six Scots Labour MPs had condemned the act as
''irresponsible conduct'' in a Commons motion as peaceful protest was an
acknowledged part of socialist tradition.
