A PET dog saved the life of his pensioner owner by sitting on top of

her for three days and nights. A police helicopter with thermal imaging

equipment searching for Mrs Isobel Lenihan, 77, who suffers from

dementia and who disappeared from her Oxford home, found her in a field

on the outskirts of the town, with her small dog, Kirsty, sitting on top

of her. Police believe the dog's warmth helped keep her alive. Mrs

Lenihan was taken to hospital in Oxford, suffering from hypothermia.
