FALKIRK yesterday completed the signing of winger Nicky Henderson from

Cowdenbeath.

But although Henderson has been included in the pool today to face

Dumbarton, Brockville manager Jim Jefferies takes the view: ''He is one

for the future.

''Unlike my other recent signings, I am looking towards next season

with this one.''

But Jefferies will be aiming for both points as they visit Boghead,

for he wants to see his side continue at the top.

Dumbarton welcome back Tommy Wilson after suspension but both Steve

Gow and John Boyd have been ill this week and are unlikely to be

included.

Dunfermline manager Bert Paton yesterday emphasised to his players

that two points against struggling Morton, who will be without central

defender Doug Johnstone, are required to continue the pressure for the

important top place.

Airdrie have midfielder Evan Balfour doubtful to face Stirling Albion,

whose midweek Scottish Cup exertions could cost them dearly.

Their manager John Brogan remarked: ''I have four or five players

doubtful.

''Two midweek cup ties have stretched my part-time players and yet it

is so important to this club that we earn points in the league.''

Hamilton wait for Billy Reid, who has a thigh strain, and John

McQuade, who has been ill, before deciding their line-up against Ayr,

who are again without the injured Steve Bryce and American Ritchie

Williams.

St Mirren captain Norrie McWhirter is again an absentee against Clyde,

who hope that Martin Clark can shrug off injury.

Young goalkeeper Bruce Alexander gets another outing for Brechin, with

Ray Allan suffering from an ankle injury as they meet Clydebank.

The Bankies include full back Mark Treanor in their squad after a

lengthy absence due to a serious knee injury.
