Favourite holiday destination?
Venice, because I think it is the most romantic place in the world. My
husband is based in London and because of our different work schedules
we are apart a great deal of the time. So, whenever we get a week off at
the same time we head for Venice.
Worst experience?
Staying in a youth hostel in Yugoslavia. I would prefer not to go into
the details.
Most unusual location?
Khajeraho, India. Breathtaking. No other place like it.
Funniest experience?
Having a stand-up all-over wash on the Orient Express and pulling into
a station unawares!
What do you always forget to pack?
Hair dryer.
Favourite food when abroad?
Anything Italian. Especially polenta.
The thing you miss most when away from home?
My kitchen. I love cooking and, although I say it myself, I am a very
good cook.
Worst airport?
Los Angeles. The riots had been going on and that didn't help the
atmosphere one little bit.
Your favourite travelling companion?
My hubby! Being apart so much makes it all the more wonderful when we
can go off somewhere together.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
