A VISITOR to Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College spoke to pupils about the work done by St Richard's Hospice.
Nurse specialist Maria Kavanagh explained to pupils how the hospice helps people who are ill.
They look after them by talking to them and visiting them on a regular basis and also have an in-patient area where the patients can stay there over night at St Richard’s Hospice.
There are more than 1,500 unpaid local volunteers who work for St Richard’s Hospice, which shows just how committed the people of Worcester are to helping those who are ill.
After the visit, pupils decided that they will hold a sponsored walk over the Malvern Hills in the summer term to raise money for the hospice.
