SHOPPERS were given a taste of what Waitrose in Northwich has to offer by Ben Colyer and his fellow trainees.
Ben was one of three trainee specialists at the store who organised a customer tastings evening at the branch.
The event gave them an opportunity to showcase Waitrose products and the knowledge they and their colleagues have developed, as well as to help customers to see in the Bank holiday weekend.
The evening was organised by Ben, Julie Holland and Graham Robinson.
Ben, a trainee meat and fish specialist, said: “We worked on a customer evening at Christmas which was hugely successful, and wanted to create something of our own which customers would love and would help us to develop our knowledge and planning skills.”
Partner co-ordination manager Samantha Helsby said: “It was important to us to make the evening feel enjoyable and celebratory for our customers, so we had samples of a range of wines alongside some of our cheese and deli products, smoked salmon and caviar blinis, accompanied by a saxophone group organised by the Cheshire Youth Orchestra.”
