GLAMORGAN will be attempting to return to the form that saw their NatWest T20 Blast campaign get off to a flying start when they host Surrey in a crucial clash in Cardiff this evening (6.30pm start).

Glam started the T20 with a bang when they romped to a 25-run win at the Oval with Colin Ingram (91) and Jacques Rudolph (62) helping them amass the county's highest ever total of 240/3.

But after a bright start to the campaign they suffered a pair of defeats to Essex and Sussex last weekend to slip to sixth in the South table in the race for the quarter-finals.

Spinner Dean Cosker was a key figure in the Surrey success – taking four for 30 – and hopes that they can enjoy another victory against the Londoners to set up Sunday's trip to Somerset.

"It was a fantastic win in the first game in our T20 campaign at the Oval," he said. "I was lucky enough to pick up a few wickets, the crowd was buzzing and it was a fantastic result to get our campaign up and running.

"The last couple of results haven't been to our liking and we have to turn that around pretty sharpish.

"Hope the good form that we showed early on in the tournament starts again tonight, it's always a big challenge against Surrey but it's one that we relish.

"(South Africa batsman Dean) Elgar is very dangerous with his international experience but we just concentrate on what we are trying to do. They've always got some really good ball strikers so it's always good fun.

"We got the ball rolling nicely at Surrey and it's important we get that momentum back."

The visitors are set to be bolstered by the return of Jason Roy after the opener helped England to a one-day series victory and T20 success against New Zealand.

Surrey are bottom of the group – not helped by two no results, one abandoned after the collision between Rory Burns and Moises Henriques in Arundel – and have a lengthy injury list.

Coach Graham Ford, however, is confident his charges have the character to respond to some recent disappointments.

He said: "In a busy county season you're going to hit some choppy waters along the way and you're going to have a setback, but it's how you respond to those setbacks that matters.

"One thing I do know is that the group of men in the dressing room are determined to bounce back. You have to wipe these things from the memory bank and move forwards."
