THE Scarlets have confirmed the signings of former Dragons backs Tom Prydie and Geraint Rhys Jones.

The duo left Rodney Parade at the end of the season and have headed west after penning deals with the Guinness PRO12 champions.

Five-times capped full-back/wing Prydie, 25, made 93 appearances for the Dragons after his 2012 debut.

Jones returns to Llanelli after a spell with the region in 2011/12 when he was a Wales 7s international. The 28-year-old spent the last four seasons with the Dragons, making 30 appearances.

"They have experience of playing in the PRO12 and will add strength in depth to the backline," said general manager Jon Daniels of the Scarlets, who have lost Wales and Lions speedster Liam Williams to Saracens.

New Dragons boss Bernard Jackman has Hallam Amos, Ashton Hewitt, Zane Kirchner, Pat Howard, Carl Meyer, Adam Hughes as senior options in the back three along with emergency options Adam Warren and Tyler Morgan.

Will Talbot-Davies, Jared Rosser and Joe Goodchild played for Wales at the World Rugby U20 Championship while Lloyd Lewis has played international 7s.
