ASHLEIGH Harris scored five goals as Caldicot Town LFC eased into the second round on Sunday, writes Bob Cypher.
Josie Day, who was brought into the team after a good showing in the development squad’s games this season, scored with her first touch, with Cerys Pinchard grabbing her first goal of the season,
Meanwhile, Taylor Fitzgerald and Mikaela Roberts grabbed a couple of goals each as Caldicot Town’s development squad beat visitors Barry Town United on Sunday.
Assistant manager Gareth Crispin said the game was slow to start but the local side stepped up the pace in the second half.
“We came out and showed the quality we have throughout the squad to get another victory,” he said later.
After two home games, the development squad travel to take on Porth on Sunday while the Premier League side travel to take on Abergavenny.
