DRAGONS head coach Bernard Jackman has made wholesale changes for tomorrow's crucial European Challenge Cup clash away to Bordeaux-Begles.

Victory for the Welsh region would put them second in Pool One as they chase one of the three best runners-up spots in order to qualify for the quarter-finals.

The Rodney Parade chief’s men go into the game in France (kick-off 8pm) reeling from a Guinness PRO14 stuffing by the Scarlets last Friday.

Jackman makes 10 alterations to his starting XV following that mauling, though some are forced due to the likes of Nicky Thomas, Sam Beard and Taine Basham not being registered for Europe.

For the Stade Chaban-Delmas, full-back Angus O’Brien and wing Ashton Hewitt return to the back three alongside Jared Rosser, with Carl Meyer and Pat Howard dropping to the bench.

There is one change in the centre partnership as Adam Warren returns to replace Beard, while Sarel Pretorius and Dorian Jones get the nod at scrum-half and fly-half respectively.

Gavin Henson comes back into the matchday squad as cover for Jones, who starred for Ebbw Vale in the National Cup last Saturday.

The front row sees the welcome return after a spell out with concussion of Wales international hooker Elliot Dee.

Thomas Davies takes over from Luke Garrett at loosehead and tighthead Lloyd Fairbrother replaces the unavailable Nicky Thomas.

Rynard Landman, who made his 100th appearance for the region off the bench last weekend, starts in the second row alongside skipper Cory Hill.

With Basham not available, the back row sees James Benjamin move from number eight to flanker as Robson Blake returns to the starting XV.
