HOOKER Rhys Buckley will make his return from a back injury in the Dragons Premiership Select’s British & Irish Cup finale against London Scottish at Bedwas, writes Chris Kirwan.

The 28-year-old from Caldicot has not played since September and starts in tomorrow's Pool Three fixture (kick-off 2pm).

Buckley made 26 appearances last season but has featured just three times this campaign, his last outing when scoring a try in the heavy lost at Belfast.

Angus O’Brien, who started at full-back in the Dragons’ Challenge Cup loss in Bordeaux last weekend, replaces his older brother, Newport outside half and academy coach Matt.

He forms an experienced half-back partnership with Charlie Davies.

Centre Sam Beard, who is not registered for Europe, continues in midfield while teenage flanker Lennon Greggains captains the side for the second week running after leading the charge in the 40-21 loss at Jersey.

He is joined in the XV by fellow Wales Under-20s Six Nations squad members Josh Reynolds and Taine Basham, who start at loosehead and openside respectively, while hooker Will Griffiths and winger Rio Dyer are among the replacements.

The Dragons have lost all five games in the tournament, which is being scrapped after this season, but showed spirit in the Channel Islands last week against the Reds, who have won all five.

Scottish, third behind Jersey and Yorkshire Carnegie, can qualify for the knockout stages. They need a bonus-point win plus a Yorkshire loss and feature former Dragons winger Nick Scott on the left flank.
