CHEPSTOW Firsts skipper Jason Dobbie carried his bat scoring 101 to help set promotion-chasing Miskin Manor a target of 205 to beat, writes Bob Cypher.
And when the visitors began their chase, Dobbie struck twice early on to remove both of their opening batsmen, ending with 2-14 and four maidens in his 10-overs spell.
Dobbie’s partner Gareth Ansell made 38 but only Oliver Thornhill (14) and Luke Watson (13) also managed double-figure scores as Chepstow posted 205-6.
Watson chipped in with two wickets but Tudor Morgan-Huggett took 3-29 in his nine overs as Miskin Manor slumped to 188 all out.
In the return encounter, Chepstow 2nds’ match at Miskin Manor was abandoned with the home side on 77-3.
